The users of the Xbox Live in 2009 considered Halo 3 as the hottest game during that year even though Modern Warfare 2 had its spendthrift launch that year. After Halo 3 comes the Call of Duty 4, topping the list at number 2. Modern Warfare got the third spot. Maybe the late launching of the Modern Warfare 2 explains why it did not top the lists.
According to Larry Hryb, the manager of Xbox Live program, they create the list according to the number of the purchased full versions of the game. Also known as Major Nelson, Hryb was responsible in rounding up the topmost games for the console.
The title of the most purchased Xbox Live Arcade went to Battlefield 1943 from EA DICE. After that comes the Castle Crashers from Behemoth and then next is the Trials HD from RedLynx. meanwhile, the fourth spot was taken by the Hasbro Family Game Night from Microsoft. And to finish off the top five is the Shadow Complex from Chair Entertainment.
There is also the list for the Xbox Live Indie Games where Jamezilla’s I MAED A GAM3 W1TH Z0MB1ES!! took the ultimate spot.
