Agreement with MTN, shrugs Bharti
Reports in some section of the media stating an agreement of USD 24 billion has been signed between Bharti and MTN, is shrugged by Bharti.
Bharti has stated, “Reference our ongoing talks with MTN, there have been reports in some sections of the media that a preliminary agreement has been reached between Bharti Airtel and MTN.”
It stated further, “We would like to categorically deny that any such agreement has been reached between the two companies. The discussions are still on. As and when there is any development, we would be happy to share the same with the media.”
Bharti has categorically denied of any agreement being signed or any deal being closed between the former and MTN.
