Honda Is Going to Release the Second Generation Element

December 15th, 2009 Gurmukh Singh No comments

elementDespite the fact that the Element did not find the market, Honda is going to release a second generation of its quirky crossover.

According to John Mendel, American Honda Motor Co. executive vice president, the company is missing a key demographic with the Element meaning it does not attain the vehicle’s platform sibling such as the CR-V

“Our specialty vehicles give a little spice to the brand. It’s all about platform usability. And the Element is part of that strategy,” said Mendel. He also said that nobody came to the CR-V and Element. There were no buyers in a CR-V. Element buyers prefer bikes, surfboards and ski equipment and CR-V is generally for young families.

Honda decided to launch another outside-the-box vehicle from CR-V underpinnings.

Mendel did not say anything concerning the exact date of its arrival. Moreover, nothing was said about its characteristics as well as its brand name.

The Element appeared in the market in 2003.

Actually the company believed that it would be possible to sell 75,000 units annually. But after the first year of its selling when the figure was 67,478, the Element never managed to break 60,000. Last year the number of sold units was 26,447, and sales of 2009 decreased by 46 percent.

What Are the Specs of Panasonic GF1?

December 12th, 2009 Gurmukh Singh No comments

Panasonic GF1When talking about Panasonic’s latest Micro Four Thirds camera the GF1, one should mention about the Olympus E-P1. Both devices are considered to be alike in build quality, purpose and technology.

As for such characteristics as size and style, the Olympus is the best, but if take other specs, then GF1 is the better camera.

Both cameras has the Micro Four Thirds system, it means that the devices come with SLR-sized and quality sensor with interchangable lenses but there is not mirror system or optical viewfinder.

The GF1 is a speedy camera, it has a fact autofocus, quick write speeds, negligible time to boot. The buffer of Panasonic is quick in filling up and is able to hold up the next shot in a sequence. The camera has the live preview of color filters the work of which is much better if compare with the E-P1, the GF1 also comes with a built-in flash.

The main drawback of the GF1 is that the camera does no have an optical viewfinder. It is possible to use the screen in all conditions, moreover it is bright enough, the zoom for manual focus is accurate.

One can add two more things that will make the camera even better, i.e. image stabilization and it is necessary to remove the noise of the autofocus motor.

The GF1 is available for over £1,000.

Want to Purchase Bold 9000? Know More About It

December 12th, 2009 Gurmukh Singh No comments

BlackBeirrblackberry-bold-9000y ntroduced its Bold 9000 smatphone late last summer. It is equipped with the best QWERTY, 3G engine and multimedia that was improved.

A big attention should be given to the keyboard as it became more bijou. It was expected that there would be the absence of the original’s sizeable and highly tangible buttons but it was a mistake. The new layout of the keyboard can be determined as enough accommodating.

Due to the ridged, guitar-fret it is possible to make differentiation between keys for accurate speed-typing.

As for the camera, 3.2MP is miserably sub-standard if compare with other smarphones’ cameras. But one should not that there was made an improvement on the laughable 2MP, also it is possible to post average-quality pictures to Facebook and Twitter from the camera interface directly.

But still the device includes a lot of things that attract customers, i.e. the high production values, the palpable leatherette that can be seen on the panel and the sharp quick-witted half-VGA quality display.

What is more important about Bold 9000 is its user-friendliness. It is possible to replace the traditional trackball with an optical touch-sensitive trackpad that was first appeared on the 8520 Curve.

One can also customize two side buttons in order to blaze up any feature as well as some individual installed apps.

The device has a screen that is relatively small for internet surfing, Also there is the integrated 3.5mm headphone jack that can be found at the side of phone instead of the top. It is a bit inconvenient.

Want to Have a Laptop with 3D But not Expensive?

December 12th, 2009 Gurmukh Singh No comments

Acer 5738DNowadays many IT devices include 3D but usually they are expensive. There is the only gadget that avoids such high prices, i.e. the Aspire 5738D laptop.

At under £600 is considered to be the best cost of a 3D screen. In general the laptop is good, it has 500GB hard drive, three-hour battery life and solid build quality. The Aspire 5738D is equipped with a multitouch mouse pad and decent set of speakers. But unfortunately the resolution is a bit low for the panel size.

The 5738D is equipped with 3D trailers preloaded from Yabazam’s library. The TriDef 3D software is able to add a 3D effect. Also it comes with an upscaler-style DVD player that append an adjustable stereoscopic effect to usual movies. But still one should talk about its drawback, i.e. the graphics card of the 5738D is not so powerful to manage latest games.

The 3D effect requires a lot of power that leads to the increase of the processing demand and as a result framerates begin to crawl. In case movies do not have a Blu-ray player, it will be difficult to get mainstream 3D content.

No doubt that 3D doesn’t have to command a massive premium but it will hit the market very soon. If it is not used only for games, then one can say that it would have been a no-brainer.
