Ayudha Puja in Tamil Nadu
Chennai: Tamil Nadu and its neighboring Puducherry celebrated Ayudha Puja which is a part of the Navratri festival with sacred zeal and traditional gaiety today.
The industrial units of Ambattur and Guindy performed the puja last evening on account of today being a holiday.
Alongwith the festivity people also worshipped Saraswathi, the goddess of knowledge, at their homes. Businessmen conducted pujas seeking the blessings of Goddess Saraswathi for prosperity.
J Jayalalitha, who is the General Secretary of AIADMK, saw the opportunity to extend her greetings on the occasion.
