blackberry-curve-8520Today Research In Motion made a statement about the release of BlackBerry Curve 8520 and BlackBerry Storm in India. The handsets will become accessible to the public in 38 cities with the assistance of its distribution partner Redington.

Frenny Bawa, Vice President of Research in Motion’s Indian subsidiary, said that the company has been providing people with the latest solutions for mobile communication for ten years already, since the emerging of the smartphone market. He also mentioned in his interview that both new network independent smartphones that will be distributed by Redington will be promoted by a number of pre-paid and post-paid opportunities and will be wonderful presents during the festive season.

The handsets are competitive in price. Thus, BlackBerry Curve 8520 is sold Rs 14,990 compared to the BlackBerry Storm that is sold at Rs 20,500.

The last one has a lot of advantages, such as a 3.2 mega pixel camera, built-in GPS, full HTML browsing support, advanced multimedia capabilities. Its touch screen allows every touch, even a very faint one to be perceived.
