BSNLs 3G services now have More than 7.5 lakh subscribers
Bharat Sanchar Nigam Ltd (BSNL) launched 3G services at tourist spot Ooty, Coonoor and the business city Coimbatore. All these come under Tamil Nadu circle. Tamil Nadu circle is the first city in South India to get BSNLs 3G services.
Fring or skype can be installed by the users on their mobile phones. Users would be able to make free voice and video calls to other mobiles that have Fring or Skype anywhere in the world.
Multimedia services such as sharing of digital photos and movies via wireless means including Live TV,Videos, Music downloads, Real-time multilayer gaming, Video calling and High Speed Internet connectivity up to 3.1 mbps, are included in BSNL’s 3G mobile service.
BSNL 3G speed is 3.5Mbps if the download speed is improved or the bandwidth is increased. User will have an ameliorated experience by downloading movies, games, and utilities at a faster pace.
Mr. SS Sirohi, Principal General Manager & Head, VAS, stated, at 7th VAS INDIA 2010 event organized by Bharat Exhibitions in Mumbai that currently 7.5 Lakh (approx) customers are using 3G service over BSNL network, which is presently available in 300 cities and the aim is to stretch it to 700 cities by July 2010.
Moreover, Indian Premier League shall be merging with Youtube and the cricket match can be watched from the cell phone with an astounding 36 camera view options.
BSNL is the only service provider to procure the license to operate 3G services in India except Mumbai and Delhi region.
