googleGoogle is planning to make its Apps BlackBerry service for businesses of all sizes.

Google Apps Connector for BlackBerry Enterprise Server promotes Gmail and calendar items to the client on BlackBerry phones. Those companies that are able to use it, should append a kind of software to their BESes. The software links with the Google’s mail servers in order it could synchronize mail, contacts and calendar items. Note that it is compatible with the Exchange version of BES.

Due to the new Connector for BES version 1.5, it is possible for a business to back up 500 BlackBerry devices per server. The updated Connector operates with BlackBerry Professional Software that is able to back up about 30 BlackBerry phones.

Also the Connector can operate even when a company has a single BES that is used in multiple Google Apps domains. With the help of that feature companies provide the service to end-users that is considered to be inexpensive.

In case a user decided to make a new calendar entry on the BlackBerry, then he has to know that the entry will not be synced to their online calendar. According to Google, the Connector service would probably back up two-way synch by the end of this year.
