microsoft-It became known that the new system of Microsoft known as Windows 7 competes with the Apple’s Mac OS.

According to Simon Aldous, Microsoft partner group manager, Microsoft looked to Cupertino for inspiration while creating Windows 7. The most offensive for Microsoft is that many people say about the Apple Mac, i.e. the OS is “fantastic that it’s very graphical and easy to use.” Despite the fact that such feature were made in Windows 7.

Having heard the comments of Aldous, many people criticized him, calling his comments erroneous.

“An inaccurate quote has been floating around the Internet today about the design and origin of Windows 7 and whether its look and feel was ‘borrowed’ from Mac OS X,” wrote Brandon LeBlanc, Microsoft’s in-house Windows blogger, in a post.

He also added that such situation happened because an employee did not know anything concerning the designing of Windows 7.

It is still unknown whether any legal action will be taken against Aldous. Microsoft spends huge sums of money in order to advertise Windows 7 and to differentiate it from Apple’s Mac OS.
