Google Toughens Privacy Control
Taking the leading position among the internet search systems in the world, now Google provides its users with a dashboard to manage their settings in one place.
The new Google Dashboard gives a possibility for the personal data and product settings of different Google products to be combined on one side. Such layout will make it simpler for users to deal with them. Now you can do what Google can do, as it links from one place to the information kept on different Google sites.
Users can change their privacy settings, remove data on the dashboard, or read the privacy policies from various accounts. Alma Whitten, the Google software engineer for security and privacy, thinks that this new feature will make the data more transparent and controlled.
Google is one of the most important sources of information, and a growing number of people are using more and more Google products as YouTube, Gmail, Google Maps and Google Docs become more and more popular.
At the same time the growth of the internet caused a great concern about individuals’ control and ownership of their data. So the dashboard makes Google’s strong position transparent, but it enables users at the same time to overview their personal data.
Google Dashboard, which has already been launched, can be accessed at www.google.com/dashboard or in the settings page of the Google Account.
