Intel Introduces its New Technologies
Intel is going to introduce its next generation 32-nanometer technology. Almost all Intel processors are based on a 45-nanometer process. But here one should note that the smaller the geometry, the faster and more powerful the processor is.
Intel’s Core i series of processors will be shown at the San Francisco event that will help demonstrate products to be introduced at the CES in January. The “Nehalem” microarchitecture integrated in the Core i chips was first unveiled in November last year.
“Arrandale” is considered to be the most forthcoming processor. It includes two processor cores and a graphic function together in one chip package that is expected to have a powerful efficiency. Also the new built-in graphics technology will be able to provide better graphics performance if compare with present Intel graphics.
Arrandale will be available under the Core i3, Core i5, and Core i7 brands but primary versions will appear as the Core i3 and i5.
It is also expected that the company will integrate its Turbo Boost technology into more Core i5 and i7 processors and also Arrandale i5 models. The task of Turbo Boost is to speed up or slow down individual cores in order to satisfy processing and power-efficiency requirements.
Additionally, the company is going to launch new Atom chip technology for Netbooks.
