Leaked Emails Became the Issue of an Inquiry
An independent investigation between scientists was claimed by prominent voices on the climate change debate after it turned out that hundreds of their emails and documents leaked that supposedly manage by crafty means data and demolish clearness for Freedom of Information Act requests.
According to Lord Lawson, the former Conservative chancellor and long-time climate change skeptic, the reputation of British science disgraced, he also added that a high-level independent investigation should be pursued instantly.
Bob Ward, director of policy and communications at the Grantham Research Institute on Climate Change and the Environment at the London School of Economics said that in order to sort out the case it was important to conduct a rigorous investigation. But it was essential that those email messages did not expose misplaced guidance in the preparation of journal articles and in handling matters with requests from other researchers for access to data. Moreover, the investigation should be conducted by both sides, i.e. by the host institutions and the relevant journals.
It was corroborated by the Met Office that neither of its computers was attacked by hackers and added that it was not going to claim an inquiry.
A spokesman at the Met Office was sure that there was no need to conduct an inquiry, moreover there were no signs that the data was misrepresented and without on doubt climate change was not a deception.
