Microsoft Launched Security Advisory
Microsoft made guidance for customers in order they could know what to do with a zero-day exploit at Internet Explorer.
Microsoft launched Security Advisory that contains workarounds for an issue showing a flaw in Cascading Style Sheets that will be able to permit remote code execution.
The advisory corroborated the vulnerability influences of IE 6 on Windows 2000 Service Pack 4, and IE 6 and IE 7 on backed editions of XP, Vista, Windows Server 2003 and Windows Server 2008. Also it was said by Microsoft that those users that have IE 7 on Vista are able to form the browser to operate in Protected Mode that will constrain the influence of the vulnerability. It is also advised to set the Internet zone security in such a way it could be possible to safeguard against the exploit, i.e. one should set to “High.”
In case the hacker attacked your computer, he will first let his victim to visit a Web that includes the exploit code. It can be any Web site that is created by the hacker himself or even it can be the site where a user is able to download the content. But still there is another way of attacking your computer, i.e. by hacking into legitimate Web sites.
