Away from political activities after his expulsion from the Samajwadi Party, blogger Amar Singh Tuesday chose Gujarat Chief Minister Narendra Modi to comment on, describing the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leader as unavoidable.

Modi was the one personality in Indian politics who cannot be ignored, Amar Singh wrote in the latest entry of his blog.

Amar Singh recalled about the internal security meeting held in Delhi last week.

“Narendra Modi again spoke about terrorism issue and this time he praised Home Minister P. Chidambaram and Prime Minister Manmohan Singh. He fully lauded the central government’s readiness and its initiatives to tackle internal security (threats) and terrorism.”

“But Modi’s praise or diatribe are both dangerous… I am worried if his praises would paint the government in communal colour,” the former high profile leader of the Samajwadi Party said.

“After all, India is not the US that will boycott Modi. People like Manmohan-ji, Chidambaram-ji, Mukesh Ambani, Amitabh Bachchan and Lalit Modi could not avoid the democratically elected chief minister of Gujarat even if they may have wished to,” he wrote in Hindi.

“Bravo Narendra bhai,” Amar Singh wrote adding that love him or hate him, but Modi cannot be ignored.
