On Thursday, Apple made it known that Apple TV 3.0 software can now be downloaded.

The new software, Apple informs, has an improved menu that is aimed at facilitating the search process of the necessary information.

However, the most striking about the new version is that it incorporates recently released iTunes Extras and iTunes LP. The first one enables users to get access to such special features as deleted scenes and cast interviews from different movies available in the iTunes Store. The second one makes it possible for users to take advantage of content related to some songs, for example interactive lyrics, performance videos and some more.

Another positive thing about the new software is that users now acquire possibility to listen to Internet radio through Apple TV. There are several stations available, such as WCBS, K-Rock, and so on. The new version of Apple TV also features Genius Mixes that enable users to listen to 12 mixes automatically made from their iTunes library. For those who iPhoto fans there is access to iPhoto Events.

However, Apple TV does not seem to be a breakthrough even now. It is just that it has a several new extras and Internet radio.

The owners of Apple TV are now able to download the software for free.
