New Partnership of Google and Best Buy

googleA new partnership was created by the leading electronics retailer Best Buy and the global search leader Google. Such partnership will give a possibility for Google to install Google Mobile App on all new smartphones they sell.

Google believes that due to the partnership, the company will be able to persuade its customers that Google Mobile App is the thing that they really need while Best Buy will make live demonstrations and will help pull the software up which will be used on all compatible smartphones, i.e. BlackBerry, Windows Mobile and S60 devices. It will be able to download and install the application for free.

According to Scott Moore, marketing VP of Best Buy, customers want to use smartphones and they are ready to utilize applications. Such partnership will bring a lot of good, i.e. it is the way to get more customers not depending what device, carrier, or platform they use.

A special concept was used: those who have BlackBerry, Windows Mobile or S60 devices, the staff of Best Buy will assist users to download and install the Google Mobile App. Google Mobile App provides one-click access to products like Google Search, Google Maps, Gmail, and YouTube. It is also possible to search for local businesses that use location-aware technologies.

Also Google is planning to launch a new Web site on November 9 which will be followed by promoting the Best Buy partnership and offering mapped directions to the nearest Best Buy.
