I’m single and still complete: Vikram Bhatt

March 15th, 2010 ians No comments

After a couple of break-ups that made headlines, director Vikram Bhatt says he is not really looking for love any more. While he is not bitter about it, the filmmaker admits that he doesn’t need the constant presence of a woman to complete his life.

“I have realised that no one but you can complete yourself. It is actually nonsense to seek someone to be complete in life. You can be single and still so complete,” Bhatt, who directed Aamir Khan-starrer hit film “Ghulam”, told IANS.

“I am not at all unhappy in my current state and am in fact raring to go as far as my personal and professional life is concerned,” the 43-year-old said.

The director, who has dated actresses Sushmita Sen and Ameesha Patel, is single now, but neither has he closed himself from the outside world nor is he turning out to be a recluse.

“I am happy to be living life the way it is currently and don’t intend to mould it any differently. However, I am not bitter at all. Why should I be? But now the love which comes to me has to be really special,” he adds while looking forward to a new phase in his personal as well as professional life.

When Bhatt broke up with Ameesha, he had refused to divulge any details about what had transpired between them. He said: “What’s the point of going into the past and talking about why and when it happened?”

He was also in for a surprise when Ameesha threw a birthday party for him along with other friends soon after their break-up.

After loving three women in his life for a major duration – his ex-wife Aditi, Sushmita and Ameesha, it appears Bhatt has just grown over love and is taking it rather easy with no strings attached.

“See, the fact is I don’t see myself reaching home in the night, feeling lonely and then getting the feeling that ‘arrey yaar, it’s bad to be alone; I should rather hook up with someone’.

“Yes, I will give love a chance but then it has to be indeed ‘love’. Let that happen naturally,” said Bhatt, whose film “Ankahee” was said to be loosely based on his relationship with his ex-wife and former girlfriend, Sushmita.

The director, who has made horror movies like “Raaz” and 1920″, is currently gearing up for the release of “Shaapit”. Starring singer Udit Narayan’s son Aditya, Shweta Aggarwal and Rahul Dev, the film hit screens Friday.

The Figure of Cyberfraud Losses Doubled in 2009

March 15th, 2010 Sidhrath Surana No comments

It would be right to note that the last year was really hard for most businesses, but as for cybercriminals, it was considered to be the best one.

Data released by the U.S. Federal Bureau of Investigation’s Internet Crime Complaint Center (IC3) revealed that total losses of 2009 year amounted to US$559.7 which is considered to be higher compared to the year of 2008.

The use of the FBI’s own name was considered to be the most frequently reported scam. It was used in order to trick as well as try victims into handing over cash or sensitive information. An e-mail claiming from FBI Deputy Director John Pistole was involved in such scam. The scammers tricked people in the following way: in order people could receive an even larger sum of money they had to pay bogus fees, but as a result they never got a payout.

Total complaints of 2009 increased up to 22.3 percent compare to the previous year. About 257,284 complaints were posted by victims and $265 million was registered in losses.

Among other scams, one can note the non-delivery of merchandise or payments which are regarded as a common form of fraud on online marketplaces like eBay and advance-fee fraud that is almost the same as the John Pistole scam.

There are cases when victims receive e-mails from an unknown person that claims to be a hitman hired in order to assassinate them. In case victims do not send $800 to the U.K. within 72 hours, the hitman asks to cancel the job.

OnLive’s Pricing Will Not Change the Situation in the Market of Games

March 15th, 2010 Sidhrath Surana No comments

Finally OnLive disclosed some details concerning pricing. In case you want to become a user of Onlive you will have to pay $15 per month, but it does not mean that you will be able to play any full games. In fact, it is necessary purchase or at least rent games in order you could stream to your computer, but still prices are not known. Even if OnLive provides lower distribution costs, it will be hard enough to compete with actual hardware for all but the most dedicated gamers.

Let’s imagine that you spend about $300 on a new console every five years, it is about $5 per month that is considered to be less than a subscription to OnLive. For example, you purchase one new game every two months that requires $60 each, which means that you spend about $35 every month. It means that publishers have to offer games for $40 or less via OnLive in order the proposition could be worthwhile.

If publishers diminish the price of the game, the consumer will become more concessive. You will be able to receive instant gratification and also an opportunity to play everywhere, but still you will be unable to buy, sell or trade used games, moreover, nobody will guarantee that you will have the possibility to play that game that you bought 10 years from now.

In fact, one should say that the prospect of game rentals touches more questions.
