iphone-3gs“Ikex” is the name of the hacker who created the worm. With the help of this warm it is possible to change the user’s wallpaper. The software has a message: “ikee is never gonna give you up.”

Such term as jailbreaking can be used when you want to run software not approved by Apple on the iPhone. It gives a possibility for users to install custom wallpapers and themes enable tethering, or unlock the handset for use on a non-approved carrier.

According to Forbes the worm is not malicious. The ikex worm is just a trick known as “Rickrolling,” an Internet bait-and-switch meme when users hope to watch a video on a certain topic but instead they only watch Astley’s cheesy 1987 music video.

One can say that worm is propagating among jailbroken iPhones in Australia nowadays. Moreover, it influence negatively on those users who did not alter their default SSH password with the help of which one can make file transmissions between phones.

According to Mikko Hyppönen, researcher with F-Secure, the warm enables users to change their root password and also it was added that it could be more perilous.

There are four variants of such warms and this is not the end and no doubt that new version of worms will be even more dangerous, i.e. it is possible that they can crack a user’s password in order to get access to devices
