Samsung Is Holding The 2009 Global Developer Contest

The 2009 Global Developer Contest was launched by Samsung Electronics in order to bring about new applications for Samsung’s cutting-edge smartphones.

The contest will last till December 10, moreover participants all over the world can take part in it. The prize US$330,000 will be given to those who will create a new application for Samsung mobile phones. The aim of the content is to interest developers in order to create apps with the help of which it will be possible to strengthen the content currently available.

The names of winners will be known only by the end of December 2009. The winning apps will be possible to download both free of charge or paying for them on the Samsung Application Store site, www.samsungapps.com. Winners will have an opportunity to enter into partnership with Samsung Mobile through participating in Samsung’s mobile programmer support program.

Hosoo Lee, Executive Vice President of Samsung’s Media Solution Center, hopes that the work of participants will be profitable, i.e. many customers will be able to have a wide range of applications to use and will continue to alter their phones with Samsung.
