Sapphire Radeon HD 5970 Graphics Card Appeared in the Market
Sapphire Technology introduced its new Sapphire Radeon HD 5970 graphics card that is considered to be the fastest in the world.
The new Sapphire backs up the DirectCompute 11 instruction set of Microsoft DirectX 11 together with hardware tessellation. It also provides multi threaded communication with the system CPU. With the help of the card, it possible for ATI Stream accelerated applications like video transcoding together with the definite ability to display at the same time on three monitors via ATI Eyefinity. Due to the multi-monitor mode one can show images on several monitors with the resolution of 7680 x 1600.
It comes with the speed of about 725MHz and 1000MHz as well as 2GB of fifth generation GDDR5 memory. It is equipped with 3200 stream processors and 160 texture units, it is able to work with DirectX 10.1, DirectX 10 and DirectX 9.0 games and applications. Furthermore, the card can be used together with ATI Powerplay Dynamic Power Management.
It includes UVD, the CPU hardware that makes smooth decoding of Blu-ray and HD DVD content for VC-1 as well as H.264 codecs and Mpeg files. As for UVD, it was made better in the HD 5800 series for synchronuous decoding of two 1080p HD video streams in order it is possible to show HD video in high quality with Windows Aero.
