Save Money with Opera Mini

Opera MiniOpera that deals with browser development has stated in the latest report “State of the Mobile Web” that those who choose Opera Mini save a collective of £4.9bn a year.

According to the company, 35.6 million people took advantage of Mini browser in September. Thus, they were able to view, download and use content on their way.

As the report says, users in the USA and the UK save the most money a month. Though it depends on the average cost of megabyte or on usage.

Opera has informed that despite the rise in the number of users, the figure could be bigger as Opera Mini condenses the information up to 90%. Therefore, there are £4.9m savings.

The company observed that users in the UK are searching for 225 pages a month. They are said to visit Facebook, Google and the BBC. The most popular handsets incorporating Opera Mini in the UK are he LG KC910 (Renoir), Nokia 6300 and LG KE970 (Shine).

Jon von Tetzchner, chief executive at Opera, declared that their main objective of the company was to make the web available to everyone. The company wants to democratize web, developing it and make obtainable, since the biggest part of the world’s population has a mobile phone in their disposal.

As Opera’s officials inform, the number of its users has increased by 150 per cent in the last year, including 11 per cent in the last month.
