BlackBerry Shows of its Browser

February 23rd, 2010 Sidhrath Surana No comments

One should say that Microsoft is not considered to be the only company that reseted its ecosystem this week. Research In Motion drew attention of Mobile World Congress’ side-show. The company made a presentation of a real Web browser for BlackBerry. The new browser comes with accurate Web pages, zoomed into and out of pages, moreover, it offers reasonable speed and scored a 100% on the Web Standards Project’s Acid3 test.

One can say that the new browser has a little resemblance to Mozilla’s “Fennec” in terms of visual cues. In demo version embedded one the Bold 9700, one can observe that the browser includes History and Bookmarks buttons and due to their placement one can access to Storm and other touchscreen users.

Unfortunately the demo version did not show the performance of embedded video. At present the Bold 9700 is able to back up WMV3, H.264, MPEG4, and Flash rendering by means of On2’s VP6 codec. The BlackBerry is aimed at opening the same level of Web apps deployable by means of PCs and there is the only way to do this, i.e. with the help of 100% compliant rendering engine.

Want to Purchase Bold 9000? Know More About It

December 12th, 2009 Gurmukh Singh No comments

BlackBeirrblackberry-bold-9000y ntroduced its Bold 9000 smatphone late last summer. It is equipped with the best QWERTY, 3G engine and multimedia that was improved.

A big attention should be given to the keyboard as it became more bijou. It was expected that there would be the absence of the original’s sizeable and highly tangible buttons but it was a mistake. The new layout of the keyboard can be determined as enough accommodating.

Due to the ridged, guitar-fret it is possible to make differentiation between keys for accurate speed-typing.

As for the camera, 3.2MP is miserably sub-standard if compare with other smarphones’ cameras. But one should not that there was made an improvement on the laughable 2MP, also it is possible to post average-quality pictures to Facebook and Twitter from the camera interface directly.

But still the device includes a lot of things that attract customers, i.e. the high production values, the palpable leatherette that can be seen on the panel and the sharp quick-witted half-VGA quality display.

What is more important about Bold 9000 is its user-friendliness. It is possible to replace the traditional trackball with an optical touch-sensitive trackpad that was first appeared on the 8520 Curve.

One can also customize two side buttons in order to blaze up any feature as well as some individual installed apps.

The device has a screen that is relatively small for internet surfing, Also there is the integrated 3.5mm headphone jack that can be found at the side of phone instead of the top. It is a bit inconvenient.

New BlackBerry models – Touchscreen Storm

October 15th, 2009 Sidhrath Surana No comments

blackberry_storm1BlackBerry maker Research In Motion is launching a new version of its touchscreen Storm smartphone, marking its latest move in the fight with Apple’s iPhone.

The smartphone retains the original Storm’s clickable touchscreen interface, but it is easy to type now, you can type on more than just one part of the screen at a time.

The phone is enabled for next-generation networks and also has Wi-Fi capability.

Apple is expanding its smartphone’s availability by offering it to a greater number of wireless carriers.

For instance, until recently, Rogers Communications was the only large Canadian carrier that offered the iPhone. However, BCE Inc and Telus announced earlier that they would be able to offer the device in November.

Balsillie announced that the Storm2 will be a key to maintaining RIM’s growth in the retail consumer market, which it is increasingly emphasizing as it expands from its core base of business, government and other professional users.

He said that they just wanted to save and extend their leadership.

Last month, RIM reported results and an outlook that disappointed investors and sent its shares tumbling more than 15 percent.

Analysts consider that increased competition in North America from the likes of Apple, Palm and Motorola Inc was a top concern for RIM’s future.

New BlackBerry models are crucial if RIM is to succeed and Balsillie said the company is well prepared.
