Madonna has been named the ‘most famous celebrity of the decade’ after grabbing more column inches than any other star.

A study of celebrity reports from British national newspapers showed that, Robbie Williams, who has enjoyed comeback success this year, was the most written-about male celebrity of the past 10 years.

With a high profile marriage and divorce, adoption bids and one of the most successful careers around, Madonna has accrued 45,633 mentions over the decade.

This was around 17,000 more news articles than her nearest rival Williams.

The study was commissioned by online UK TV channel Liv, which features style and celebrity programming.

””This is a fascinating insight into which celebrities have real showbiz staying power with the UK print press and have proved their popularity over the last decade. Madonna’’s ability to be able to re-invent herself and her image has meant she has stayed at the top of her game throughout the noughties and we salute the queen of pop,”” the Telegraph quoted Alex Ayling, Liv commissioning executive, as saying.

The results were calculated by TNS Media Intelligence using British national newspapers.

Jimmy Choos has revealed that Madonna finds slipping into one of his couture creations more satisfying than having sex with a man.

The New York Daily News, the designer who co-founded the legendary shoe brand dishes to the U.K.’s Daily Star: “Madonna told me that buying a pair of my shoes is more satisfying than having sex with a man.

“At least you know they are going to last forever!”

According to reports, Guy Ritchie’s ex-wife Madonna is currently dating 23-year-old model Jesus Luz.

The D&G new collection is inspired by Italian neorealism cinema, something Gabbana says Madonna knows all about.

It was Madonna’’s good friend, designer Marc Jacobs, who has picked the 25-year-old model for LV’s spring/ summer 2010 campaign.

“After two seasons with such a huge star, Marc decided to take a breather and work with a model – and not just any model,” the Sun quoted a Louis Vuitton spokesman as saying.

“It’’s the choice of a new supermodel,” he said.

The firm further described the new campaign as “whimsical, young and optimistic”.

Rapper Snoop Dogg has revealed that he would love to team up with the likes of Madonna and Rolling Stones.

“I wanna be on a track where I”m not the big one,” Contactmusic quoted him as telling Nylon Guys magazine.

“Something where it’’s like, ”Wow, I can”t believe Snoop Dogg is on a track with Rascal Flatts!”” he added.

Madonna has revealed that her adopted son David Banda is one of her biggest fans.

While talking about four-year-old David, one of two children the popstar adopted from Malawi, the star, 51, told GMTV: ””He knows every song, every word, every step, and he wants to wear all the costumes.

“He likes my dress that I wear in La Isla (Bonita).””

Meanwhile, Madonna, who has two biological children – Lourdes and Rocco – and has adopted David and Mercy, hasn”t ruled out expanding her family further by adopting another kid, reports The Telegraph.

Asked if she would adopt again, she said: “Never say never.”

“I have four children now and I would like to think I am a good mother. I feel a great sense of satisfaction in all areas of my life,” she added.

Pop queen Madonna has denied that she’s a fitness freak.

The 51-year-old singer had sparked concerns about her obsession with fitness with her prominent biceps and frequent trips to the gym.

However, she defended her rigorous fitness regime, insisting she needs to keep in shape because it’’s her job.

“(I do it) for health reasons, and for aesthetic reasons. If I have to go out on stage and, you know, jump around in a pair of hot pants I better look good and also when I perform I”m like an athlete and I have to be in good shape,” Contactmusic quoted Madonna as telling British TV show GMTV.

She added: “I”m not panicked, I just know what my job is and I know that if I want to be able to wear whatever I want to wear on stage then my body better look good.”

Madonna has secured a 7 million dollar donation for her children’’s charity in Brazil.

The Queen of Pop received the staggering amount from Brazil’’s richest man Eike Batista during her recent five-day trip to the South American country.

The singer was said to have met up with top businessmen and politicians to help set up Success for Kids, reports Contactmusic.

She was reportedly left in tears after Batista agreed to provide the major chunk of necessary funds for her latest charitable venture.

Pop diva Madonna Monday made a fresh attempt to adopt a second child from the southern African state of Malawi, according to media reports.

Lawyers for the 50-year-old US-born singer launched an appeal against a Malawian court’s rejection of her application to adopt a four-year-old girl, Chifundo James, known as “Mercy”, according to BBC. The singer was not present in court.

The court recently denied the application on the basis that Madonna did not meet the legal requirement for adoption because she was not resident in the country.

In 2006, the singer adopted the then 13-month-old David Banda in Malawi. She recently returned to the country with Banda and her two older biological children, Lourdes and Rocco.

Mercy, whose mother died shortly after giving birth, has been living in an orphanage. The man who claims to be her father, James Kambewa, has reportedly sought custody, saying he wanted to take care of the child.

Kambewa, 24, wrote to prosecutors seeking a court order that would prevent the wealthy singer from adopting Mercy.
