The Content of Vevo Will Available on YouTube
Soon it will be possible to see the content of Vevo, a music video website, from YouTube’s API.
The Universal Music Group and Sony Group made the decision after the founder of Muziic – 16-year-old David Nelson of Bettendorf, Iowa, kicked up a shindy earlier this week when he started to use Vevo music videos on his website.
Nelson showed the way users could make playlists out of Vevo vids.
At present Vevo is used in such countries as the US and Canada. Still it is scheduled to broaden the website in other countries, but it is unknown when it happens.
Vevo acted on the defensive in an official statement saying that it does not authorize, make peace or otherwise endorse the actions of Muziic that include licensed music videos or registered trademarks.
UMG signed an advertising revenue deal with Google that acquired YouTube in April that was the time when Vevo was first announced by the companies. At that time YouTube decided to agree to arrange UMG’s video content to other websites.
Then Sony became the part in June and Vevo officially released earlier that month. Later the service temporally turned bankrupt. The company arraigned insuperable levels of traffic for the downtime.
